The second time I've played the game in two months, and I five-starred Freya, Psychobilly Freakout, and Hangar motherfucking 18.
Now bow.

Alright, so Fall Out Boy have always been really, laughably bad. But seriously, if you like their new record, I'm officially banning you from music. You may listen to music on your own time, but you are not allowed to speak of it in public or listen to it in situations where other people may hear.

I just plugged my guitar into my bass amp and turn the bass and reverb all the way up, and I believe that I have found God's sound.
And once I go back to school, I won't be able to play it again for months.

On the day I get back home, new records from Jesu and The End leak.
I still can't wait for this break to be over.
My cell phone doesn't work here, so for the duration of my stay, I am 402-369-1986.

| It Tastes Like Dust Anyway |
[16 Dec 2006|07:21pm] |
I have in my hand a CD by a band that doesn't exist. There is nothing about them anywhere, on the entire internet.
The CD does not play in my computer, and has no tracklisting. In fact, the only words anywhere on the packaging are "It Tastes Like Dust Anyway" on the front cover and on each of the two disks.
The music is mostly-instrumental post-rock with an unusual variety of instruments and styles. Sometimes it sounds like funk, and sometimes there is straight-up middle-Eastern throat-singing. Right now it sounds like a really proggy Explosions in the Sky.
I am officially intrigued.

The first thing that I did when I woke up today was check LambGoat's yousendit group, and the new Explosions in the Sky record was up.
This is a good morning.

| The internet is a bad place because: |
[11 Dec 2006|12:27am] |
I just saw the following bands called "post-rock."
Isis Cult of Luna Me And Him Call It Us Tera Melos Mastodon Buried Inside My Bloody Valentine Old Man Gloom Animal Collective
And not just one douchebag who didn't know what he is saying. A whole bunch of kids. What the fuck?
I am a crotchety old man.

Is the new Fall Out Boy single a joke of some kind? Because seriously! How else does it make sense? I expect shit from them, but not quite this ludicrous!
